EPIC WEB SERIES "CATACLYSMO" RETURNS
FOR A SECOND SEASON ON WEBSERIALS.COM

After its hugely successful first season, "Cataclysmo" returns with another 24 episodes.

April 4, 2008—WebSerials.com announces the second season of its hit web series "Cataclysmo." After a hugely successful first season, watched by a half-million viewers since July 2007, the quirky sci-fi comedy is making a comeback with 24 brand new episodes.

Created by Kevin Christensen and Anthony Parisi, "Cataclysmo" is a zany time travel serial in the vein of the old "Buck Rogers" and "Flash Gordon" adventures. In the series' first season, heroes Johnny and Bucky travelled back in time to stop a disaster called Cataclysmo. Along the way, they met the beautiful Samantha and the maniacal Dr. Crankshaft. Their failure to stop Cataclysmo leads to the action-packed events in season two.

The web series, which airs on WebSerials.com and is syndicated on YouTube gathers an average of 50,000 viewers a week. "Cataclysmo" has also been recommended by a variety of critics and publications including the LA Times. YouTube’s editors called the show "one of the best dramas the web has to offer."

The acclaim from critics and fans has been a welcome boon for the homegrown, independent effort produced each week by an all-volunteer cast and crew. The low-budget series has often been ranked alongside better-funded studio productions—a mark of pride for the small WebSerials.com team.

"Cataclysmo" stars Brian Walton, Chris Hartwell, and Erin Sullivan and is executive produced by Joshua Sikora. The new season begins April 4.
